The story where it all began

The Racing Homer was created in Belgium and England in the mid-1800s by blending several older breeds, including the Smerle, French Cumulet, English Carrier and Dragoon. The Cumulet is credited with its endurance and the Carrier with its homing skill, and Belgium became the heart of modern pigeon racing.12
