The story where it all began

The breed traces back to old-style English bulldogs brought to the American South in the 1700s, which later became all-round farm dogs that helped manage cattle and pigs. For several generations only the Lane family of Rebecca, Georgia, bred these dogs, and a dog named Otto became the foundation of their programme and registry.1
