The story where it all began

Czech cynologist František Horák developed the breed in Prague in the 1950s as a laboratory dog, and it was first shown publicly in 1961. After the lab closed in 1981 the dogs went to private homes, and enthusiasts revived the breed in the 1990s from 11 remaining dogs.1

    Every dog has its own pattern of tricolour speckling, with roughly equal dark and white areas.1
