Personality what they are like

Daily activity how busy a day looks

High. A stamina hound that needs long daily walks and chances to follow a scent.1

Grooming and care the hands-on bits

The dense coat needs regular brushing, especially when shedding.1

The story where it all began

Scent hounds have been part of Polish hunting since at least the Middle Ages and appear in 16th and 17th century Polish writing. Numbers dropped after the Second World War, and engineer Jerzy Dylewski wrote a standard in 1964 that led to FCI registration in 1966.12
