Indoor home with plenty of vertical climbing space.2

Company who they like around

Very people-oriented and dislikes long periods alone.2

The story where it all began

Screenwriter Paul Casey created the breed after talking with anthropologist Louis Leakey about how a spotted house cat might make people care more about wild cats threatened by poaching. Starting from a Siamese and a Turkish Angora, he added American and British Shorthair, Manx, Abyssinian and street cats from Malaysia and Egypt, and the look was set by 1985. The cats were famously launched through a Neiman Marcus Christmas catalogue.12
