A busy, purpose-bred pack hound that loves to follow a scent. Most are kept by hunters in packs in the countryside.23

The story where it all began

French breeders crossed English and French hounds, a practice thought to date back to the 1500s, to create the Anglo-French hounds. This smallest type drew on Harriers, Beagles, Poitevins and small Gascon hounds, and it took its current name in 1978.32
